The honest version of what you are buying, before you pick a size or a character.
Cheap onesies use a thin brushed knit that feels fine in the bag and goes bobbly after three washes. Ours is thickened coral fleece with a dense, deep pile — it has noticeable weight when you lift it, and it holds that weight through a winter of washing. It is the least visible decision on this page and the one that decides whether you keep wearing it.
The oversized room is already built into the cut, so sizing up is the mistake most people make and the reason most onesies get returned. Check the size guide below — those are measurements we took off our own samples, flat, with a tape, published in centimetres with a height range. If you are on the boundary, email us before you order.
You own the grey set. It is soft, it is perfectly nice, and it has never once started a conversation. The whole category worked out how to be warm about fifteen years ago and then quietly stopped trying.
This is the version where the comfort is assumed and the point is what happens when somebody sees you in it. Same evening on the sofa. Considerably more entertaining.
The face resolves instantly. There is no explaining, no caption, no setup — somebody sees it and they either laugh or they immediately want one, and quite often both.
Which is why these end up filmed. Not staged content, just the ordinary stuff: making tea, answering the door, arguing about the thermostat. The suit does the work that a script usually has to.
Apparel is returned more than almost anything else, and it is nearly always sizing. So we did the boring thing: bought samples, measured them flat with a tape, and published the centimetres next to a height range rather than reprinting a chart from a supplier we cannot verify.
Take your normal size. The room is already in the cut. If you are between two, send us your height and we will just tell you which one — it takes us a minute and saves you a fortnight.
Joint presents are hard. Most of them are either boring or something only one of you actually wanted. Two matching monsters solves it in one move — it is funny, it gets worn constantly, and it produces the photograph before anybody has asked for one.
The oversized unisex fit is what makes it work across two different sizes, which is why the pair is the thing people come back for rather than the single.
